He is the first Mexican in the history of Model Universe to win the Overall Winner trophy and in my interview with Alan Valdez a few months ago, he did mention that one of his goals is to become the best Mexican fitness model in history. It would seem that with this monumental achievement for Alan, he is on his way to fulfilling those dreams.

I was born and raised in Hermosillo, Mexico, not far from the border of Arizona and Sonora. I’ve always played sports and I was part of the soccer, basketball and track and field teams of my school. By the time I was in high school, I decided to choose basketball to pursue a scholarship in a good university. On my last year in high-school, I got an offer from Tecnologico de Monterrey and I did 2 years of mechanical and electrical engineering there. It was during my first year of college that I began doing local runway and photoshoots. When I was about to finish the 2nd year, I received an invitation to compete in the Fitness Universe Weekend 2008 where I placed 14 out of 100. It was a pretty awesome first international competition and I got a lot of attention and work offers after that. I couldn’t attend school and travel at places all at the same time, thus, I decided to take a semester off. People were responding very well to me and the images I put up which made me dedicate myself full-time to my fitness modeling career.

I moved to Florida in 2009 and got married the same year. It was also the year when I got my first international fitness magazine cover, the April 2009 issue of Exercise for Men Only – Abdominals Special Edition. Some of my competition results are 2 times top 5 finalist in Model America, 2 times top 10 finalist in Model Universe, 2 times State Champion in Sonora, Mexico. Second place in the NPC Southern State. I have also done national campaign and catalogs for underwear companies such as Papi, Equipo, Perry Ellis and others. I also did an exercise DVD for Pumping Muscle.

My goal is to become a Latin American Icon and the best Mexican fitness model in history. I want to leave my mark in this world by inspiring others to get in shape and live a healthy life, free from drugs and addiction.
