Preview: Eric Forgiel

Eric Forgiel says there’s a “little wild bad boy inside of me and every now and then he likes to come out!” Well, don’t we all have one. A man with a dangerous look, Eric oozes with confidence in every photo and has a charisma that comes out in his portfolio. He is one flamboyant guy with an extroverted personality, tons of drive and like Lee Stram, self-motivated.

He says that he will model “as long as industry people are willing to hire me.” Well at the moment, everyone wants him to model as Eric Forgiel has a full plate, when it comes to his modeling work, in the coming months. Very soon, the male fitness model from Canada will relaunch his website where his fans can buy specialty products as well as a 2011 calendar he is currently working on. He is also compiling several photo shoots on video for all Eric Forgiel lovers to experience how his images came to be on every session. He has partnered with Canada-based photographer, Cynthia Laroche, to showcase his masculine image and reveal the real Eric on every photo.

Excited for the future! Our male fitness model feature has what it takes to not only market himself well but also show off what he works hard for five to six times a week for 90 to 120 minutes per session. Ray Travis-Baker, Sharp, Simple & Sexy

Sharp, simple and sexy. Three words to describe our featured model, another On Display Men who have the looks and flare to make it in the industry. Ray Travis-Baker has the male fitness model’s standardized fashion look: pair of jeans and a niche shirt, he says. He’s also very much aware that the modeling circuit is as much a rejection circle, especially because more often than not, supply for male fitness models exceed the demand in many ways. He is constantly working, however, and has the determination and discipline to succeed in the male fitness modeling world.

A man with a concrete dream and direction in life, Ray dreams of having his own family, own house and his own business. Not really a party boy, at least from the words we read, the man is more about forging relationships rather than collecting acquaintances. In his On Display Men interview, he says that “he enjoys going out to eat, concerts, and just getting together to have fun.” For relaxation, the male fitness models would “love to just sit back and watch movies,” and his perfect escapade is “lying on a beach in Cabo.”

Lee Stram, A Hunk from Derby [INTERVIEW]

When I read our featured model’s answers from the questionnaire I sent him, the first thing I did was look-up the place where he said he came from: Derby, England. My Wikipedia quest led me to discover that the 22nd largest settlement in that country has less than a quarter of a million people living in it. Not a big place compared to New York, Los Angeles or other big cities where tons of male fitness models roam. But like small American cities in the South where naturally good-looking guys are born (as if there are artificial ones), Derby is the birthplace of rising star male fitness model Lee Stram.

Lee is another male fitness model born out of serendipity (and amazingly great physique!). Although he has been working out ever since, the timing seemed to be orchestrated and he was ready to seize the opportunity when it came, even in the most unexpected moments. While hanging out with his friends one night, he was spotted as a potential subject for a photo shoot. The person who scouted him? A female model who needs a male partner for his portfolio. He went along with it and enjoyed modeling ever since; loving his moments in front of a camera. After that he created his Model Mayhem account and began freelancing as a male model, being represented in some locations here and there. A motocross racer, Lee is packing some serious heat! Not only on the course but also on the runway. Looking as best as ever and a total adonis in every standard; a male fitness model at his prime who will just keep looking better from here.

Asked about his obsession to being fit and healthy, he says “I would (definitely) say that im 10/10 obsessed,” adding a line that’s one for the quotation books, “but the word obsession was invented by the lazy to make the dedicated feel bad ” I was initially surprised when he told me he only started working out when he was 20 years old. Less than three years before got into a shape of a super male fitness model. Asked about how it happened, a simple reply came from his mouth – “good genetics.” No doubt about that.

A male fitness models genuinely committed to his career, he hopes to be “featured on many fitness magazines” and “would love to live in the states and have a fitness modelling career over there.” He was recently sponsored by Reflex Nutrition, Ltd. for an ad campaign and is currently looking to do more work both inland in the UK and abroad.

Lee declares that he is self-motivated and whenever there is an opportunity, will encourage other people to stay fit and healthy. He loves to share training and diet advice to those who wants to have a fit look. In his Model Mayhem page, he says he is “in great shape all year round,” he considers his overall look as a selling point when it comes to urging people to go to the gym; he will tell them to “look at me” and see what can result from working out! For guys who wants an amazing body, you definitely just have to look at Lee Stram for reference!
