TAMPA, FL – As if one of them is not enough to launch a male fitness model’s career, fitness photography giant, Michael Anthony Downs, founder of the well-loved and immensely successful All American Guys has joined forces with today’s hottest fitness and fashion photographer, Miami-based Luis Rafael, to do for one lucky male fitness model a photo shoot from heaven. The two highly-regarded photographers will be working with the winner of the Masculine Model Mag Search Contest in Jamaica. According to the press release announcing this partnership, “The two world-renowned artists will team up to photograph the lucky winner and two other pre-selected models in what’s being described as a ‘production in paradise.’”

The Masculine Mag contest that is currently underway invites all aspiring and current male fitness models to participate. Models selected as finalist will then undergo a public voting process with the winner to be announced on March 27th. The prize for the winner is worth $3,000, half of it given in cash. It is expected that around 40 models will compete for this spot which could be one of the most anticipated fitness photo shoot in the industry today.

Luis Rafael, originally from Havana, Cuba, is an honors graduate of the Houston Arts Institute. A lot of his work has appeared in prominent publications such as DNA Magazine and Wire Magazine. He is also Model Health‘s 2010 Fitness photographer of the year.

Michael A. Downs is a prominent figure in the fitness modeling world, having created one of the most successful sites of the web featuring America’s best male fitness models, All American Guys. His work has appeared many times in the mainstream press and national media, being affiliated with big-name brands such as Macy’s, Glamour and Instinct magazine and major media outlets like E! TV and Fox News.
